Who I am

Hi, I’m Sarah

I’m a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and leader in the disability arts and accessibility space.

For over 20 years, I’ve worked as an artist and advocate alongside blind, visually impaired and disabled communities, while partnering with design firms and stakeholders to co-create spaces where touch, sound, and spirit guide the creative process.

My own journey has shaped how I teach, lead, and value this work.

This site is part journal, part showcase, and part invitation.

Welcome to the story.

I’ve spent most of my career behind the scenes—creating, teaching, listening, and building community.

I’ve been told for years, “You need to share this work, your story. People need to see what you’re doing.”

But honestly? I was afraid.Afraid to be seen in a world that doesn’t always know how to see me. Afraid my story would be too much—or not enough.

But here I am. Because the stories, the hands, the visions of my community deserve light. This isn’t just my work—it’s a movement rooted in touch, spirit, and unapologetic presence.

So this is my beginning. Or rather, my becoming visible.
